My Customers

My customers are mostly bulk buyers or people who need special care or attention.  The competitive advantage I offer is service, not cost.  If you want to buy a regular $5 CD from Yahoo and you want to save a dollar or two on commission then I'm probably not the best guy for you.  One of the larger McProxies can do that for a better price since you don't really need any extra help.  A lot of people I work with have questions about the auctions, they want some extra information, they need it shipped a certain way, or they just want a safer buying environment overall.  The larger proxy companies make you deal with a website, but with my proxy service you deal directly with me.

My Advantages

Experience

The biggest advanatge is that you're going to be working direclty with me.  If you have any questions or concerns I can always help out.  I can tell you what to watch out for, mention any red flags I see, etc.  In the beginning I can help you find items and over time I can feed some links to you based on the items you want.  You're still expected to do most of the search work yourself, but I can make that a lot easier on you.  You're getting my experience in buying and selling thousands of items on Yahoo along with your account.  That should give you a lot more confidence and help to minimize risk.

• I understand everything about international shipping.  I can let you know if an item is too large or too heavy for shipping to your country before you buy.  Other proxy serives will not tell you that until after you buy.  I can even sometimes give you estimates on international shipping costs before you buy.  I've shipped items as small as keychains and as large as TVs.  I know how to package items properly.
• I can give you my opinion about an auction or a Seller or help you understand the auction for bigger ticket items.  I actually know a lot of the Sellers on Yahoo and I can tell you which ones I've done business with before and are trustworthy.
• I understand that certain things have value, especially for older collectibles,  such as original shipping boxes, documents, receipts, etc.  You won't have to worry about valuable parts being thrown out by mistake.

Servicing

Japanese companies still offer service/inspection on older electronic items such as laserdsic players or audio/visual items.  I have a system where I can send your item to the company for an inspection to make sure everything is working perfectly before you pay expensive international shipping.  Please see the Service & Inspection section on the left.

Customs/Duties

I can write the shipping lable any way you want me to.  This is especially important for people who live in countries with high import taxes.  This savings along more than pays for the price of the proxy service overall.  A lot of the larger proxies won't do that.  You can read more about my shipping policies in the "How It Works" area of this website.

Access to Products

I can give you direct access to Yahoo Auctions, but I can also make purchases on Amazon, Rakuten, Tea4Two, or any Japanese website.  The same commissions apply.

Flexible Shipping

I can combine items any way you want for shipping.  If you buy 10 auctions you can split them up into 1 EMS box and 2 SEA boxes.  Or you can use a FedEx 10 KG box for the important items and then EMS for the others.  I can ship one of the items tomorrow and hold the rest for 30 days.  You'll be able to control how and when the items are shipped to you.

Protected Shipping

As I said before I've shipped out just about one of everything from Japan.  Items are packaged extremely well for international transport.  For the very high value items I can even send you a picture of how it's packaged and get your approval before sending.  For larger items (especially SEA) I add a shipping label and I also write your name and address with a permanent marker on the box including your phone number and tracking number.  That decreases the odds of it being lost in transit to nearly zero.

Flexible Inventory

Some buyers purchase an auction but don't need all the items and don't want to pay shipping for all of them.  A good example is when someone buys a lot that contains 20 or 30 items.  I can remove the items you don't want and send you only the items you do want.  That will save you money on shipping.

Protection

Although I can't guarnatee any of the items you buy, if there is a problem I can contact the Seller on your behlalf and try to resolve it.  Some Sellers will cooperate, some won't.  If I can do anything to help then I'll do it.

Competition

My system is set up to save money if two customers are bidding on the same item.  A bid will only go through if the second customer's bid is higher than the first.  That prevents the second customer from raising the price unless he's going to be the high bidder.  Please see the 'How it Works" section for more information.

Actual Costs

My system uses actual costs as opposed to other companies who use a "base fee."  If shipping and bank transfer is only $4 then that's the cost for those two categories.  I don't charge a minimum base fee that inflates the prices on cheaper auctions.

Payments

I can accept PayPal, International Postal Money Order, Bank Transfer, Bank Draft, or I can charge your credit cards directly (Visa, MC, AMEX, DISC).  Please see the Payments article for more information about this.

Things I Can't Do

Like all proxy companies, I can't guarantee the items that you're buying.  You're the one who decides in the end what you will purchase and who you will purchase from and I can't offer protection if an item is not received.  That doesn't really happen on Yahoo but in the unlikely even that it does you need to understand that you're on your own.
